What did you think of these episodes?

Good!
Bumpy-wumpy!
Exterminate!
Oh Christopher, I would of loved another series with you, I really, really would of!!
What a travesty we only got one series of Nine with Rose, I truly think they worked better together than Rose did with Ten.
Despite my sadness at losing Christopher Eccleston I did enjoy these episodes. The start now looks VERY dated though. Big Brother, although that is back again isn't it? The Weakest Link, although that is back again isn't it? I am not sure what the other programme was called, but if my memory serves me well it was an older, slightly different version of Queer Eye basically. It was still fun to watch the Doctor in the Diary Room though.
"You are the weakest link - goodbye!"
I loved how it was revealed to us, and to Rose, how deadly the Weakest Link and the other game shows were. Billie does a great job in these scenes, and seeing her try to work out answers to stay alive is amazing. John Barrowman also gets naked!
I guess until the big reveal this is a bit of a slow burner with some fun (at the time) references to other TV shows. Then suddenly a fleet of Daleks are in the sky and Christopher Eccleston is being a bad ass mother hubbard!!
"They survived through me!"
I loved this moment, the booming voice, 'worship him', Nine being both funny - Is that it? Useless! Nul points - and epic - Doesn’t it just burn when you face me? Also when he works out the Daleks are insane and he rests his head on the door back inside the TARDIS after acting so confident in front of them, that was a real oh shit we are in trouble moment.
It must of been so thrilling for long time fans to see all those Daleks and their spaceships whizzing around Earth on the screen when this was first broadcast. Nine laying the law down to the Daleks at the end of Bad Wolf was so bloody good!
"You know what they call me in the ancient legends on the Dalek home world? “The Oncoming Storm”. You might have removed all your emotions, but I reckon right down deep in your DNA there’s one little spark left. And that’s fear. Doesn’t it just burn when you face me?"
RTD went bigger in his finales after this one, but I don't think that affects this one in the slightest. The best scenes didn't need explosions or the like, they were Rose, her Mum and Mickey in a Cafe and Rose explaining why she loved the Doctor and why we should love the Doctor.
Ah so that bad wolf stuff was important then, who knew!?! I loved it, Rose as Bad Wolf was a great moment and a really fitting end to a brilliant series that she was very much a big part of. It seems strange to think she was belting out pop songs not long before this was filmed, it must have been a big gamble to cast Billie Piper in this role but boy has she paid them back over the years!!!
Nine regenerates as only Christopher Eccleston could regenerate, a great line, no fuss, bang, all done. Obviously the show wasn't established and there were the behind the scenes issues, but it seems quite odd to watch such a no fuss regeneration after all the specials and speeches we have had since.
Now, where was I? Ah yes, that's right - Barcelona!!

BEST LINE: "Rose, before I go, I just want to tell you, you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was I."
