I'm sorry, but every pathetic little man who won't give Doctor Who a chance anymore because of saying the show is woke but really don't like a black/female Doctor but won't say that part out loud, are missing the most fun, exciting era!

I think Lux showed that Ncuti Gatwa is the Doctor, and nobody can take that away from him - not even Mr Ring-a-Ding, not even the #RIPDoctorWho crew. His Doctor is so different to the Doctor's of the past and I love that. It has freshened the show up so much, and along with the stories, I feel like the show has a new lease of life - ironic given the very many rumours recently.

Ok, the pre-titles scene was pure theatre. Mr Ring-a-Ding coming out of the screen was spectacular. I was in the episode straight from the off.

“Hope can change the world.”

Lux was a Doctor Who episode like I've never seen before, it was bright, colourful and mad. Not that Doctor Who is never bright, colourful or mad - this was just another level. That Disney dosh is really shining through this series.

Ncuti and Varada continue to look like a bit of a dream team, and I really enjoyed their scenes in the TARDIS before shit got real, and their scene as a cartoon. These are the moments we need. Considering how bonkers this episode was we got a few moments like this, and the diner was one such example. First we get the Doctor batting off the racial segregation of the times like only he could, and then a lovely moment between the Doctor, Belinda and Tommy Lee’s Mum. Did anyone else have a little punch of the air when she had noticed the TARDIS?

The Doctor and Belinda as an annimation

I miss every pissing anagram or play on words! I don't know how! Did anyone see the film title and work it out straight away?

Reginald Pye was a bit of a non character for me, his scenes with his wife were sweet, but meh, I didn't feel anything. I will say the moment she transferred from film, to dancing with him was really beautifully done.

"We had so much fun, and thanks to you, I met my two best friends."

I have a feeling there is one particular scene that is going to be very controversial, and that is the scene I absolutely loved. Was Russell saying Whovians are annoying, or was it more of a love letter to them. The fact I had a little blub at this moment meant that I firmly thought it was the latter. It was a sweet moment, and to me it resonated. I think of all the amazing people who watch this show and hold it close to their heart.

I think of all the people who have made friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands and wives through this silly little blue box show. I have never got involved in the fandom, and it never really crossed my mind until I found out I was autistic last year, but since then I watched Empire of Death in the cinema, been to the Proms, and started this site. I feel like I missed out on making those friendships, but I love that so many people have found them. I love that people like me found them as well, in a world where you can often feel like you are on your own, where nobody makes sense, it's something I find very special about the many fandoms out there, but especially Doctor Who.

Oh and The Sad Man With a Box - come on, fucking goosebumps!!!

"Maybe, just now and then you can think of us, then we might live on just a little bit. Now go and save the world Doctor."

There were so many things going on that I've missed loads out I know. However, the ending was slightly up in the air to me. Quite literally!

I guess it gives us a chance to see Mr Ring-a-Ding again though.

I've just seen the viewing figures and 1.58 is so low. That is going to be jumped on by all the wrong people. I know it isn’t much to read into, but that's what will be discussed and that's a massive fucking shame! This was a brilliant episode, and episode that said to me Doctor Who still has lots to say, lots to do, there is no other show like it, none, nada, zilch! It is pure magic!

Maybe I am blinkered, but I see it in my own house why! Kids just aren't interested. That's not because of the show, kids just don't watch TV anymore! In our house it is TikTok and YouTube, if I suggest sitting down to watch the wonderful adventures in time and space I'm looked at like a piece of shit. The thing is though, if I have it on, and they walk past the door, they hang around and have a look, it lures them in, just not quite enough. Times have changed! If kids don't watch it, then that means families don't watch it, and that was why it was such a phenomenon in the Tennant era. That's not the shows fault. Well, I take that back, dropping it at 8am is a ridiculous decision, and I suspect that is a massive reason for the drop off.

Anyway, so far so good! I absolutely loved this, it is an episode that shows off the magic of the show, it also showed the magic of Ncuti Gatwa. The Robot Revolution was a decent opening episode as well. What did you think of this episode? Are you worried about the ratings? Let me know in the comments below.

Find out why I think Doctor Who needs protecting from a hiatus:
