A spin off is coming isn't it? It seems that way at least.

I have put on my pretend showrunner hat and thought up some ideas (rubbish ones, but ideas none the less) of Doctor Who spin offs, and this is how I would expand the Whoniverse...

TikTok Doctor Who - Down With the Kids

Now hear me out here. The world has moved on, people don't watch live TV anymore, and the youngsters out there prefer YouTube and TikTok and things like that. I am not a big user of TikTok so I have no idea how long videos can be on there, although a quick Google search tells me 10 minutes. So, my first spin off as showrunner will be a TikTok exclusive, 7 episodes of 5-10 minutes spread over a week. Don't worry old timers - I will be releasing this in full on iPlayer afterwards.

What can I make this about? RTD says the kids these days love a mystery, OK, lets give them a big old mystery.

How about what was Sutekh up to with the TARDIS all this time? The other lives of Susan Twist? The Doctors before Hartnell?

A New Torchwood - Gritty Storytelling

Not necessarily Torchwood itself, just a more adult version of the show, telling stories that the main show can't. Maybe Gwen sets it all up again with a host of new characters, potentially people from Doctor Who past, some of the cast from SJA, and definitely Andy Davidson, he was one of my favourite supporting characters in the original run.

One of my favourite runs in all of Doctor Who history is Children of Earth, that was utter brilliance from start to finish!!!

UNIT - Too Twee In the Main Show

I really think UNIT can be a bit twee in the main show. How about an adult version, more gritty, a bit like an X-rated Spooks perhaps? Lots of death, lots of shagging, just Doctor Who but filthy!!

YouTube Doctor Who - Still Down With the Kids

There's a theme here isn't there? I am braving the new world with my spin offs. That is how I roll!!!

Now this one is the Sarah Jane Adventures for the YouTube generation. We need a family setting for this one and I have the perfect family ready to rock!! The Fourteenth Doctor living his life of domestic bliss but constantly being interrupted by various invasions of Earth.

They won't be big invasions, just small ones affecting his everyday life. He can team up with Rose (Yasmin Finney), Shaun (Karl Collins) and Sylvia (Jacqueline King). Catherine Tate will voice Donna but she will not be seen on screen, the adventures all happen behind her back, kind of like Nanny in Muppet Babies.

Clara Oswin Oswald - The Impossible Girl Adventures

So many options with this one? I am penning a few stories myself that I would love to put on here one day. But God, Clara can meet any Doctor, from any time, and she can have an adventure with each and every one of them. They don't even have to be Doctor's we have seen on screen.

Thirteen and Yaz - Thasmin Date Night

A will they won't they rom-com. Each episode they go on a date, and each episode their date is ruined by some alien invasion.

Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz sat side by side on top of the TARDIS in space, looking down at Earth. Their backs are to us.

Any Other Bright Doctor Who Spin Off Ideas?

You also have Rose and the meta crisis Doctor - perhaps in a Wanda Vision type sitcom kind of thing. Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank? Monkey Tennis?
