Building Vegas In Plastic Form

I have a massive box of LEGO and I want to put it to good use. My aim is to build sets I have always wanted, which generally means expensive or rare ones!! My first task I have decided to take is to try and make a birthday present for my wife, we got married in Vegas, so what better place to start than building the Vegas skyline in the form of plastic bricks.

This is set 21047, and I don't have long to build it, especially as I am missing a few of the more unique pieces, and after scouring BrickLink and BrickOwl nobody in the UK has these. Luckily I have found a shop in Denmark which has all the missing pieces I need, so stage 1 and I am £34.58 lighter, however, I have stocked up on a few other pieces and hopefully this will help me in further missions.

The next stage is to hunt through my box of plastic treasures and hopefully find all the remaining pieces. 10 days to go - wish me luck!!
