Does the modern version of Doctor Who have a wokeness problem, or does it have too much reliance on nostalgia?

I didn't notice it as much this time around, but I remember it feeling weird being on modern day Earth...

UNIT has been a significant presence in Doctor Who for decades, but I really struggle to enjoy its inclusion in the show a lot of the time.

I won't lie, I was worried at the start! Very worried...
